Alta Equipment Company Earns Spot on Crain's Detroit Business Fast 50 List

Alta Equipment Company has been recognized as one of the 50 fastest growing companies in South Eastern Michigan by Crain’s Detroit Business. This is the seventh time Alta has been recognized on this list. Crain's ranks companies based on the percentage of revenue growth over a three-year period from 2016 and 2019. They are also ranked by the dollar amount of revenue growth. Crain's takes the two rankings and adds them together to create the list – the lower the number, the higher the final ranking.
In 2019, Alta completed the acquisition of Wilmington, Massachusetts based Northland Industrial Truck Company, a provider of materials handling solutions. The deal expanded the dealership group into the New England region. The company also realized significant organic growth in the industrial and construction equipment business in Michigan and Illinois, said Ryan Greenawalt, president and CEO.
